Data Analyst (Porto, Portugal)

About Your Role

Your job as a Data Analyst in Veniam’s Data Team is to work in close collaboration with the Team Manager conducting the full lifecycle of data analyses: requirements, design, and execution. You are responsible for making the most of Veniam’s data, guaranteeing its integrity and converting it into added value insights. As a Data Analyst, you must be able to communicate findings effectively, as well as make effective use of reporting and dashboarding tools.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Interpret and analyze data using statistical techniques and communicate resulting insights effectively;
  • Produce reports and dashboards to support decision-making and projects with customers;
  • Proactively and pragmatically identify, measure and track actionable KPIs;
  • Monitor Veniam’s product performance and identify opportunities for improvements;
  • Work with the product and project teams to understand the requirements and use-cases to be addressed through Veniam’s Data Team;
  • Collaborate with the Cloud and Embedded teams to provide high-performance Embedded Platform components to Veniam internal and external users, partners and customers.

Technical Requirements

  • Experience extracting and communicating insights from data, including sampling, cleaning, processing, summarizing and visualizing data as dashboards or reports;
  • Experience querying databases: good knowledge of SQL is mandatory;
  • Experience using statistics to describe data.

Qualifications and Other Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant field;
  • 1+ years of professional experience;
  • Statistics knowledge;
  • Experience with NoSQL and large databases is preferential.
